My automatic wont go into drive or reverse or even park.

What is your question?

A couple of days ago I heard something fall out as I was driving down the road. Then it got hard to move the lever into reverse or drive or park. Now I cant get it into any gears. I seen something underneath the shifter cable assembly that has open holes where some part goes that fell out. Cant figure out what the part is so I know what to buy exactly and what part to replace.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Nothing makes it better I still cant hit drive, reverse or park
