Yes the two are related... 'Professional' scan test needed to determine problem... ABS issue can cause T/C to become inoperative and by default cruise control as well... Possibly ABS wheel speed sensor but that's just a guess... Scan testing essential to diagnoses!.. Parts store freebies won't help!
