My gas gauge sticks after refuelling

What is your question?

After refuelling, the gas gauge often doesn't work for a bit. It usually resets correctly within a day or 2. It's a little disconcerting but annoying more than anything.

What makes this problem better or worse?

It's worse when the tank is full.
