TheESC affected the driving a little, nothing else happened. The battery light would go off at times and then back on, sometimes the ESC,ABS,Seatbelt & battery would go out for a while. After arriving home I was unable to start the car as the battery was weak. After a charge I was able to restart it.

I'd get the battery tested to see if it is getting weak, have a load test done at a parts store, they'll do it for free. Also check for a white powdery buildup on the battery terminals, and check connections, especially grounds.
when the battery light comes on,it means the alternator is not charging.then you will run straight off the battery until it drains it,and leaves you stranded.lots of lights will come on,because computer not seeing correct voltage signals. get charging system tested.battery MUST have a full charge on it if testing alternator while mounted on the car!
Thank you, I got a new battery and the systems seem OK., it all happened again today,ESC,abs,brake,airbag,seatbelt &engine overheated. The brand new battery died, Do you still think this is the alternator?
when you had your battery tested, the store you bought the new battery should have checked your alternator to see if it would run at rated output. Modern cars are very sensitive to voltage and sensors that do not see proper voltage signals can cause the problems you are describing. It all starts with a good battery, but a new battery has to have a properly working alternator to remain a 'good' battery. Go back to where you purchased the battery and ask them to check your alternator's output.
yes,it does sound like the alternator!a fully charged battery should have 12.6 volts on it with the car off.then with the car running,the battery should read 13.5-15.0 volts DC!the battery is for starting the car,then the alternator takes over sending the correct voltage to everything.again,if you take the car to the parts house to get the alternator tested,then the battery MUST have a full charge on it.check all connections,including grounds for corrosion,loose,disconnected.make all connections good and shiny and tight.post findings.
Thank you, I bought a new battery, First day short trip everything was ok. Today it all happened again, ESC OFF, BRAKE,BATTERY,ABS light on ,seat belt light flashes,the letter P on odometer flashes, the engine temp get high and the battery dies. The new battery did not help.
Did you ever figure this out? My Sonata is doing the same thing
