where is the fuel filter on a 09 elantra

Having replaced many fuel filters over the years in many brands of cars, I "probably" came to that same conclusion, although many fuel tanks came with filter screens with the float assembly which was replaced or cleaned from the outside of the tank in the metal tank days. pre fuel injection filters were attached to the carburators, and fuel injection models that have higher pressure fuel requirements have/had canister filters placed anywhere from the firewall, to mid way under the car to just outside the gas tank. However, a precise location was requested. thank you
