Check engine light was on so wouldn't pass smog. Replaced downstream 02 sensor, per codes. Disconnected batt. to clear codes but smog technician said I'd have to drive it "a while" to get computer to reset. What is "a while"?

I hate answering questions from Potwin Ks. Fix it and look under the Q&A section at Encyclopedia section for Emissions section to find your answers.
Who or what is Potwin,Ks? I looked in the Encyclopedia section you recommended and see nothing relating to how long to drive so computer retrieves enough data to say system is working well enough to pass calif. emmissions.
Potwin is because you didn't enter your city and state properly. Go to the bottom in the search window enter drive cycle. If you can't find it there something's wrong on your end because I have read it several times and it does not necessarily say which state just says what to do.
