What is your question?
My passenger side front of car was making a squealing sound, so we put new brake pads on front tires. Now the car is making a banging noise in that area. Someone thinks it's the ball bearings, but I don't, I wouldn't think I'd feel the banging noise coming up from under for ball bearings, I don't have money to play guessing games. Can you help?

We came to the conclusion that it was the brake pads, changed those, and still the problem persisted. The next thing my nephew said was it had to be the ball bearings. I got a friend to do the job, we sat for 3 days going back and forth with the bearings that they gave us at the Auto Store, they didn't look like they would fit, found out the casing was still inside the hub. Got a machine shop to press out the old casing and put in the new for 28.00, but had to return the 3 ball bearing sets prior to using the machine shop, and rented a press, which was not for ball bearings in the front tire, but for U-joints, screwed up my checking acct. waiting for the money to come back and finally paid to get the job done at the machine shop. They called half way through the job and said the hub must be replaced as well. Couldn't afford to replace the hub, I need a car to get to work, live paycheck to paycheck, and just don't have anything extra. Without work, I don't have money, without a car, I don't have work, without money or work, I have nothing, but bills that can't be paid. So, we told them to just use the old hub, he didn't guarantee the job and was upset that I couldn't afford to do the job right, but what could I do? Anyway, if he hadn't of asked me prior to doing the job, if I needed a hub assembly, I might have been more concerned about the problem. Since he asked me prior to looking at my hub, I am hoping he was just trying to make more money, cause that would have cost 166.00, and I don't know if that was the bottom line price or if that was just for the part. Anyway, it's done, and I was told it wouldn't last more than 2 weeks, I'm praying that in two weeks my bills will be paid and I can try to put the money aside to get the whole job done with new hub. Till that day comes, or I get a better job, I'm praying that my ball bearings and hub hold up. If you have any ideas let me know. Thanks Jody
