The GPS will not longer work, the car cannot be tracked and the screen froze while driving. The error will not clear. I was told I had to replace the whole $7000 system for an application error. This is a software issue, cannot anyone help.
What makes this problem better or worse?

Be sure you have the security pass code for the nav unit (if applicable) before reset.
I reset the nav unit itself many times, but I have not attempted a hard reset of the battery. Would this work with a software issue?
Well it’s certainly worth a shot .. That will solve many problems concerning the navigation system. However for this particular problem - I can’t say for sure. Just a suggestion.
