My car stops at acceleration on idle

When the check engine light is blinking, STOP THE CAR IMMEDIATELY. You are dumping raw fuel down the exhaust. It sounds like you have melted your catalytic converter and it is in turn, plugging up your exhaust. Have it towed to a muffler shop and fix the cat. Did you fix the underlying problem to the misfires that caused this problem in the first place? Check oil level to see if it's 'way overfull'... Possible gas mixed with oil if fuel pressure regulator was leaking... That would cause your symptoms as well..!
