Ok, I have had this problem for several years and have had the pulse generators replaced twice within 3 years. The code that comes up is P0722. I continue to have problems with the car wanting to shift at 60 miles an hour and then around 40 as well. The dealership says it needs a new transmission. So I took it to a transmission shop and they say it doesn't. The engine light comes on but no code is being shown. Finally, took it back to the
dealership and they say that it is now coding P0732, 733 and 734 and is reving the rpm's up as well and they said it is the transmission. I talked with the transmission people and they said they will check it out again but they also said that hyundai blames the traansmission is going out more often than not and that it usually isn't the problem. I have been to the hyundai service website and checked codes and such but what else can I look for?

you need to trust someone. i go with the dealer. whenever there is a trans code with these cars, the trans needs to be replaced. they reccomend this because of internal issues with htese units.
