Question Asked: transmission (?) problems
September 15, 2010, 11:08 AM
Ok, I have had this problem for several years and have had the pulse generators replaced twice within 3 years. The code that comes up is P0722. I continue to have problems with the car wanting to shift at 60 miles an hour and then around 40 as well. The dealership says it needs a new transmission. So I took it to a transmission shop and they say it doesn't. The engine light comes on but no code is being shown. Finally, took it back to the
dealership and they say that it is now coding P0732, 733 and 734 and is reving the rpm's up as well and they said it is the transmission. I talked with the transmission people and they said they will check it out again but they also said that hyundai blames the traansmission is going out more often than not and that it usually isn't the problem. I have been to the hyundai service website and checked codes and such but what else can I look for?
Question Asked: How many belts?
September 15, 2010, 10:56 AM
Hi, I bought belts at autozone and they looked it up and said my car only has two; but when I had it in at the tranmission place for another problem they put on 3 belts. So which what gives? Took my belts back for refund since a libility issue with them and the shop.

I really haven't had a major problem with my accent. The in city rating sucks but when driving on the interstate I had much better mileage.
