67000 miles, runs great but a lot of noise from rear tires .
What is your question?
Follows pavement with rougher pavement , noise becomes worse and
increases with speeds above 50 mph to unusually high levels.
Can a piece of insulation be missing from underneath OR a bad wheel bearing adding to problem.
Tires are Cooper GL which came with car.
How to reduce/eliminate the noise ?
RepairPal Certified shops can diagnose and repair your 2002 Hyundai Accent. They provide transparent pricing with a minimum 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on repairs and services.
You mean that merely changing the two rear tires to a Michelin Tire rated for low noise could eliminate the problem?
Same tires are on front and rear, little noise from front tires.
Rotate them and see if it helps... Possible cupped or 'scalloped' tread on rear tires!.. Should be able to run hand over tread and feel that... See it quite often!.. The Michelin's are worth the extra money!!!!
