Can I replace charcoal in my vapor canister and end seals?

Check engine light and can not fill gas was the problem. I checked the vapor canister. I found charcoal in vent to gas cap fill and when I removed the canister all charcoal was coming out of the openings. I can now fill gas with no problems, but check engine light still coming on code PO441.

No,it is a sealed unit, the only way is to replace it,and I hear that it will brake down if u have filled your petrol tank rite to the top,I have had this happen and had to replace and purge valve,
