driver side window and auto door locks control not working, what can I do

I ve had this problem over and over again I Finally realized when i wash my truck at the car wash this problem arises and do you really know what it is??? When you wash it the inside of the door gets wet then the locks dont work, window and remote lock. So all you have to do is leave in the sun for a while and tada it all works once again/ Simple right? So monitor when you wash it if its not in the sun it wont work til it drys out!!! Dont get ripped off for this because there isnt a real problem except chevy didnt insulate the door properly!

Some people really try and cut things short and they know what they are dealing with but we don't and therefore can't help them. Your hummer uses mini computers in the doors and the window function and the door locks are operated through the data network. To even start troubleshooting that you really need the factory TechII scan tool which can see and report if the switches are being operated and the data output on the network, it can also report if the commands to operate the window and the locks are being made. Finally it can also be used to make the commands to operate the locks and windows, and at the same time specific tests can be done to prove why a given circuit isn't operating as designed. Beyond checking for power and ground to the module in the door, and manually providing power and ground for a door lock or window motor there isn't much else that you can do for testing without a scan tool.

You'll need the drivers master window switch. I have had many of these go bad for exactly what your concerns are. Parts are $250 from the dealer.

I had the same problem. My battry was not strong enough ( starting amp was to low) . Drained my battery every time when i started.

This was an easy fix. My battery had gotten low and I replaced it. However, the problem had manifested itself before the replacement. We have had a lot of rain over the last several weeks and maybe some water had gotten into the driver side control panel. It is not necessary to remove the door panel, only carefully pry the panel up with a thin kitchen knife. Then take the plugs loose and disassemble the panel, four Phillips screws. Leave the switches down so that the little white "buttons" don't fall out. Take the solid state board and use a blow drier on it for a couple of minutes. Reassemble the unit but before reinstalling it, check the operation. It takes less than thirty minutes and now everything works perfectly on mine. Maybe it was the rain ldon't know. Thank You H3GURL, Going to do this myself..... Never hurts to try. I appreciate all answers as My driver side door Won't Rool up, everything else fine. Been out of the State, 15 mons.....had to charge the dead battery..... I wonder if this was Why & If I should just buy a new battery ???
