hi I am experiencing white smoke, strong smell of fuel from exhaust, loss of power and engine check light is on. also excess fuel comes out from tale pipe. mechanic made me buy a coil and 5 injectors but problem still exist
Ok the code is P0301.....and this means everything should be related to either the #1 cylinder spark plug and injector. The #1 coil, # 1 injector and spark plug were all replaced with new ones. However the white smoke, excess fuel being dumped in cylinder#1, rough idle and fuel from tale pipe still continues. The mechanic thinks the issue might be with the ECM. He thinks that's the ECM is not regulating the flow of fuel to the #1 injector. When the engine is switched on fuel falls into the bottom pan then onto the ground.
Code numbers would be helpful - there are quite a few possibilities - leaking fuel pressure regulator - faulty coolant temperature sensor - fuel injector stuck open - ignition system misfire(s) - mass air flow sensor error - intake restriction - partially plugged exhaust - you get the picture. This requires **hands-on** testing / diagnosis - by *qualified personnel* ..
