language display will not go away, no matter what buttons are pushed on steering wheel?

pushrod, first thought was that control button on steering had failed. But none of the buttons worked that controlled display. That made no sense. Tried everything in manual including trip reset. In a final attempt to reset, I disconnected the battery for 30 seconds and it fixed the problem. Everything back to normal with no lost data. Thanks for responding.

Basically a ‘hard re-set’ - that will help others with same issue - thanks for the reply.
