My battery died after a long cold winter (Sweden) and I have re-charged it, but
now I can't open the doors with either the fob or with the key. I can insert the
key, but it won't turn and I don't dare to put too much pressure on it.
How in the world do I get into my car?
Correct key? I have 2 fobs, 2 car keys with the plastic tops and 2 smaller keys (for the glove compartment?). I have doused the keys and the lock with lock oil, but to no avail.
Many times - families own more than one vehicle that’s parked in the driveway - keys may ‘look’ the same for these vehicles - thus the suggestion .... Here online - all we can do is make *best guess* suggestions.
*Spraying* a lubricant ‘into’ the door lock will result in a much better chance of getting the lock to free up - - IF that is the problem - without personal *hands-on* inspection - I have no idea.
