when you say it spins over does that mean the engine turns over or is it just the starter spinning

How many miles on it? Is the green immobilizer light on (and flashing) while trying to start? While cranking , does it sound unusually faster or an irregular rhythm to it? Was the check engine light on BEFORE this problem?
