Hello, the 2006 Ridgeline is not known for engine problems. The question I would have would be: have you had the timing belt replaced -- and how many times? Should have been done twice by now -- at least every 7 years, or 105,000 miles - whichever comes first. If the timing belt was replaced, was it done recently? You could have a situation where the engine is out of time. Are there any diagnostic trouble codes showing set in the engine's processor? Your exhaust system could have a restriction. Your air filter could be restricted. Lots of "maybe's" but nothing to say for sure until hands on testing is performed on the vehicle. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
Symptoms are not an indication of an ‘engine’ problem - more likely within engine operating systems - - I’d say the ignition system - coil on plug failure. As stated - *hands-on* testing will be required to discover the actual failure. Initial scan test - then scan while test driving is always beneficial.
