In attempt to fix check engine light, I replaced spark plugs. Which by the way, how do I know If they're installed correctly? Also after tightening a spark plug to fix a high pitch chirping noise, I drove it around the block and CELight flashed a few times and reamained on. The old spark plugs had oil on them and there is a minor oil leak. I just want to fix the cheap stuff, not (catl converter god forbid). It sounds like a diesal

When the check engine light is flashing the computer is detecting a catalyst damaging misfire. So if you don't have a bad catalyst already you need to stop running the car and sort this out. Since the check engine light is now on, the system has set a trouble code and that might identify the cylinder(s) that aren't firing correctly. Pull the codes and post what they are.
Ok some of the boots didn't fit on as smooth as the others so maybe I need to start by tightening a few plugs as well. I couldn't get some of the electronic connectors off the boots so had to do some bending..
