Why will my car not move when put in drive

Probably low on trans fluid , Might want to tow it to a trusted garage and ask them to check and add fluid if needed. That would be a start , from what I remember , none of them had dipsticks to check the fluid level , it had to be done with the vehicle on a lift and running, filled through a plug in the pan.
