This sounds like a 3rd gear clutch could be starting to fail.
Torque converter lock-up clutch contamination. When trans is hot , after driving at least 10 miles , do a 'drain & fill' (approx. 3.8 qts. HONDA ONLY atf. IF symptom goes away , then A) you confirmed my suspicion -&-B) all you need to do is change the ATF about every 20K miles OR you can spend too much money on a trans or torque converter ...VERY COMMON issue , not a big deal if you can deal with changing the fluid more often.....you're welcome.
