my passenger rear sliding door stopped working. what do I do??

I have spent 2000.00 on fixing my right passenger electric sliding door(2006 OdysseyXL) and now the left one doesn't work. In fact they both don't work. I am not spending another dime on this vehicle and will never buy a vehicle with electric sliding doors again. I can not wait to trade for a vehicle with real doors. I did the fuse thing and they are all good. Ridiculous. The van has been very good other than these doors. Honda should take note!!! Maybe a Pilot? or a thousand other vehicles. This issue has really got me wondering why I bought the Odyssey in the first place other than it was a good one on Consumer Reports. Come on Honda.
Evidently they ALL do!! I see a BUNCH of sliding door problems with this vehicle.. Call Honda motors and inquire!
where is the motor located?
It's not DIY friendly at all... Search YouTube, you might find a vid showing how it's replaced but keep in mind the motor may not be the trouble.. Good luck!
I got my Odyssey in August 2004 and the right passenger door started having problems in November 2004. It wouldn't close all the way and triggered door alarm when driving. I think the problem was caused by school personnel insisting in opening my door when I pulled up to drop off my child. I told them I would open the door from inside, but there were new aids out there every day. Since the dealership did something with the airbags in November 2014, the doors won't close all the way at all. They started chattering closed and knocked paint off the door, which indicates it is an issue with misalignment; however, for the past 18 months or so, they have been closing smoothly, but just won't contact and close. It makes me think the issue might be something with the door sensors or the computer. The dealership won't take responsibility, I guess they have records of all those times while the car was under warranty and I complained about the doors and they put me off saying they couldn't find the problem. About 4 months ago, somebody had my car (there was a paint issue but no dent) and the passenger door is iffy about closing now. There are 2 issues that crop up with these cars, misalignment and failed hinge and sensors. The misalignment is fixable if you have time, patience, strong arms, oh and more time. You have to undo the inside paneling of your car and have the strength to lift, prop, and align that door.
Pretty common problem on this vehicle for sure!
