When should I change my timing belt?

Suggested interval is 7 years or 105,000 miles-IF you have no records of it being changed , and you have had it since less than 100,000 miles , I would strongly suggest getting it done as soon as possible!! IF it breaks or 'jumps time' , very good likely hood of bending some valves. That said , with the amount of miles described , I would also strongly suggest a competent shop you trust takes a good look at it for signs of the oil pump housing leaking. That would be an additional 2&1/2 -4 hours (depending on a few factors , vehicle condition being one). Involves oil pan removal. Emphasis on the word COMPETENT......
