Does anyone have any advice for me as to what this could be? VSA, ABS, and Brake System warning lights are coming on and off at random. I also notice that while the lights are on my Idle Auto stop does not work. I went this weekend to my Honda dealership while the warning lights were on to get an evaluation, and the evaluation came up with "motor stuck" as the response. The said I needed to replace the ABS module. I declined the service bc it was over $2200 for the part alone. I read on another forum with a Ridgeline that it was a battery issue and not related to the brake system at all. Any advice? I'm a single mom and don't want to be ripped off.

I'd recommend taking it to a RepairPal Certified dealer. List price on that part from Honda is $2,019.17, so you should be able to save a couple hundred dollars.
Did this 'dealership' give you any sort of detailed report of the diagnosis? What code(s) did they come up with , or HOW was it determined that the control module was at fault? Also, as best as you are able, please try to describe under what conditions this symptom happens most often. Are you the original owner? Post the VIN# and I may be able to dig further for any more specific bulletins that may apply to your car.
Hey I know this is a year old but did you ever figure out what was wrong? I'm having the same issue right now and currently on hold with honda for them to check if I have a warranty for my ABS system.
No! Are your warning lights randomly coming and going? There was a solid month of warning lights (and I thought “ yep, I busted my car for good this timeâ€) but then several weeks just after it of no warning lights. The lights only come on when I'm at a stop (whether it's an Auto Stop or just an idle doesn't matter), and I always hear a click right before the lights come on. And when the warning lights are off I hear that click often. I'm taking it this weekend (oddly enough) to a single mom's car maintenance event where I will ask them to look into it. I'll let you know. Please let me know more details regarding your issue as well.
My just pop on all the time and I notice when I have had an oil change they don’t come on as often. I actually called Honda today to see if I had a warranty on the ABS system but they said I would still have to come in and pay $129.99 for them to tell me exactly what it is so hopefully I can come up with that and figure it out at least don’t know if I will have enough to get it fixed but I’m tired of seeing the lights come on everyday .
It was a 10- point DTC Test performed by Honda and when it got to the ABS system they received a DTC Code 52-1 Motor Stuck. I am the 3rd owner, and I just got the car last week. The VIN is JHMZE2H71AS020350. When I got the car the warning lights were on but the person I bought it from claimed that it was most likely a sensor bc the warnings turned on and off intermittently. Only once did I notice a time where the lights came on predictably. I was stopping at a red light where there was a slight incline so when my car went into Auto Idle Stop the car rolled back slightly. This caused the fuel engine to turned on immediately (which it says it will in the owner's manual) and triggered the warning lights. The lights do not impair my driving whatsoever. The only noticeable difference is that the car does not Auto Idle Stop. And I'm sure if I needed the ABS system it wouldn't work. Thanks for the help. I certainly appreciate it.
IF all they did was scan for codes, then it is still possible that the DTC is being caused by a wiring problem.Dont have the repair done unless they guarantee in writing , that the diagnosis is correct and complete. The testing/troubleshooting for that specific DTC is pretty straight forward and if they followed the HONDA trouble shooting guide, accurately, then they should have no problem doing so. I have not run the vin yet, I will respond to that later.
