What is your question?
It doesn’t make any noises. It just started happening yesterday and so far has been very intermittent. Not sure if this is connected but the car keeps stalling when I have to come to a stop. My RPMs drop to about 500 and then the car stalls. My check engine light came on a week ago on my way home. I took it to the auto parts store the next day to have it check but by the time I got there the light had gone out and it did not register a code. The light just came back on the other day when I started having problems with the clutch.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Not really sure as it just started happening. I have not been able to tell what makes a difference.
How long has your 2004 Honda Element had this problem?
A day or two

Clutch hydraulic system is suspect - clutch intermittently not releasing will certainly cause engine stall when stopping... Just like you forgot to push the clutch pedal down. Check fluid in clutch master cylinder - otherwise seek *hands-on* assistance from qualified personnel.
Clutch ‘mechanical’ failures are very rarely intermittent - it’s either broke or not.. Suspect problem within the ‘hydraulic‘ system. Good luck!
