a little play in wheel bearing according to my neighbor. front passenger side. New tires and balance and alignment, no real noise just wobbles until I get about 55 mph
What makes this problem better or worse?
driving under 48 and over 54

The other thing to be conscious about is a possible axle shaft vibration. Physical inspection is necessary to verify, but it's not uncommon, especially with the age. Typically this vibration occurs with load and acceleration. But the concern listed is somewhat vague, so, I'm mentioning it.
IF this happens only *under acceleration* then subsides at cruising - - [as stated] it is possible a worn axle shaft inner cv-joint is causing the problem - - however this typically produces more of a bouncing or wobbling sensation in the front of vehicle - may also be accompanied by ‘torque steer’ (shake) felt from steering wheel - *while accelerating*.. ▪️ An ‘experienced’ mechanic should be able to determine during test drive ▪️
