What is your question?
A "clunking" noise is coming from the front suspension, passenger side, when I drive slowing over cobblestone roads. Before I take it to the dealer, what could be the possible problems causing this loud noise. I would rather tell the dealer what the cause may be - instead of relying on them.

Instead of you 'telling them ' what you think it is , request to go on a test drive with the tech that will be working on it and demonstrate the noise and conditions under which it occurs. Let him/her diagnose it , and when they tell you you need sway bar link(s) , ask to see(easy to show with vehicle in the air) , IF they suggest strut bearings/bushings are the culprit , I would suggest full assemblies not bits and pieces.I would also maybe suggest the diagnosis in righting and a guarantee of correct diagnosis or alternatives if it may (quite possible) be coming from multiple sources. Haven't seen to many noise issues yet on the 16 CR-Vs , how many miles on yours? (I work at a No. Va. Honda dealership).
Thank you for your advice - makes a lots of sense. Here is my situation: I live in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and I bought the car from a dealer 60 miles away in Celaya. Very reputable folks, large dealership, huge volume. I have only 500 miles on the car- it a 2016 ExL -Navi - love it! I have no problem returning it for a check by their service people, it is just that I don't speak Spanish very well, and they don't understand Gringo very well! I just want to communicate effectively and "suggest" what they might want to check out to isolate the problem. . I think you idea of a test ride with a tech could be effective. Thanks for your help - I'll follow up and let you know what they find.
I understand up here near D.C. , we have about 4 service advisers that are bilingual (English/Spanish) , comes in VERY handy!! Maybe you have a friend that speaks spanish , to go with you and translate?? I'm sure all involved would appreciate it and from that dealerships 'eyes' , that gesture alone , may elevate you to 'preferred customer' status! Good luck.
