Ac stops blowing air and ticks

What is your question?

When driving for a distance the ac will barely blow even on high and it’s starting to tick when air is on or when regular air or heat is blowing. You can turn temp dial down for a moment or take it off max ac and it will start blowing again. Doesn’t blow like it should . Why does it do that and it feels like sometimes it’s dragging to keep running or pulling to stay blowing air
