The air conditioning (AC) in my 2011 Honda CRV has suddenly stopped working and is now blowing hot air. Is there anything I can do about it?

The compressor clutch RELAY is also suspect in these cars. In some cases, they would stick and cause the system to 'over-pressurize' and blow off refrigerant causing poor-to-no cooling condition. You can have your local dealer check it, or post your VIN# here and I can tell you if the warranty extension applies to your vehicle (I don't believe so, but worth checking!). Also, if you feel like checking a few simple things yourself, I can tell you what to look for. Just reply here.
There could be multiple causes for this, but pay close attention to the compressor clutch and coil. These have a tendency to have a high frequency of failure. Some CR-V's even have extended warranty coverage from Honda on these parts, so maybe call into a dealer and inquire first. However, to be clear, it could be several things causing this concern.
Hello I have a 2010 CRV got a new compressor last year, ac was working for a bit and now having same issue with hot air blowing. What do U suggest. Thanks in advance
Hi, I have a 2013 CRV, passenger side blowers cooler air then driver side but neither blow very cool air. Compressor clutch engages/disengages, Sys has pressure. Went to fill with 134a and pressure was good. Any suggestions?
It's the same information, unfortunately, as was previously stated. The compressor, clutch and coil may be in question. I have no idea what quality or brand compressor you have. If you got a new compressor last year, consult where you purchased it from.
Sounds like low refrigerant, or possible a temperature blend door issue. Too hard to guess without hands on diagnostic testing.
zippie1, I have a 2010 CR-V that the A/C stopped working; it used to work intermittently. May you provide suggestions on what to look for? Thank you.
IF, when you turn on the air conditioner (and also, by default, it is supposed to come on if ‘defrost’ is selected), both radiator/condenser fans come on, then I would suspect the clutch/coil assembly has failed. The other common item to check, as I’ve stated in previous replies, is the compressor clutch relay. I would suggest an entire compressor at this point, due to the age of the vehicle. Honda is pricey, but (my opinion) the best option, but if you must go ‘aftermarket’, I strongly suggest getting it from a supplier that carries ‘DENSO’ products, the closest to OEM quality that you will find. Testing first, is by far the best and most cost effective way to go about the repairs.
