TEST for power to the solenoid when key turned to 'crank' (not easy on that). IF you don't even get a light 'click' when turning the key , I suggest testing the fuses (ALL) TEST battery and check for voltage drop while key is turned to crank. OR just replace the starter. Intake manifold removal is the easiest way. I would also suggest either a Honda OEM , or get a better quality (NAPA or Carquest-level-premium)starter. You don't want do (or pay to do) the labor twice!
SAME PROBLEM. I got a new battery and the problem continued. Have taken it to dealer 3 times and they cant figure out what might be causing the battery to drain
Same problem 2008 honda CRV only 80k miles on it. I packed car up with my kids planned to pick up kids we committed to driving to event with us. (So this issue is now affecting not only myself my family but all the members of the Cheer squad because I happen to be in a carpool) all ready to go and NOTHING. ARGHHH. turn key "no go" tried getting jump "no go" no Crank No ANYTHING . Lights are going on but it would even click. Also could not place in neutral wheel isn't locked. WTF is going on????? This BS always seems to take place when we need the car the most. We have kids competitions this weekend and its halloween weekend and I'm loosing my mind. I just got done having to get recall taken care of a few months ago which also put me out for days I got the cry for the size and convenience. I guess the 25K at spent at honda only buys ya 4-5 years of peace of mind and now we play the guessing game of when its gonna crap out next or how much will it cost this time.
