How much should I have to pay for a 60,000 mile service?

What is your question?

I went in for an oil change, since I had 60,500 miles on the car, was told I needed a service job. I didn't have the 4 hours to do it, so I only had a filter and oil change done. The bill for a full 60,000 mile service was $1200. Is this the going rate or no?

Presume it is an all-wheel-drive , so 60K service should include oil change, trans fluid drain& fill, brake fluid flush ,rear diff. fluid change ('dual pump' fluid), A/C cabin filter , engine air filter and tire rotation if needed. Also thorough visual insection of brakes and suspension etc. . Northern Va. (D.C. metro area) dealer labor rate of $120.00/hr. Flat-rate 3hrs. plus parts where I'm at it usually runs about $400.00-$450.00 , so either they are selling you lot's of extras , or something else is missing from the story. Give us a list of what services they are doing for the $1200.00?

It has a while to get back to you, but I thank you for the heads up on way overpriced 60K service estimate. It made me contact my original Honda Dealer from whom I bought the CRV and was told there is NO 60K mandatory service, and the list was reduced to about six items instead of twice as much and until I either get a automatic warning on my dashminder, I only need to get oil changes when indicated until at least 110,000 miles. So I spent a total of $460 and will use my original dealer in the city from which I moved, but travel to annually. I did not get the complete list and prices from the first dealer nearest me now, so I can't tell you what they suggested and the prices, but they were three times what I ended up paying.
