Rev limiter engaging at 2500 in park and drive

What is your question?

Car will not rev past 2500 rpm goes to 3000 sometimes rev limiter is engaging in park neutral and drive as long as is stays under car preforms perfect check engine light is on and had code read and says oil pressure switch(unit) could it be that or v tec valve

What makes this problem better or worse?

Nothing does all time little worse when warm
