What is your question?
Brakes are good (recently done) Clutch has had like a release bearing dry squeal when engaging for a long time. smell is new, only a few days old and no slip in low gears noticeable slip if revved and drop clutch in 6th on slight hill revs increase with slip
Thanks, my thoughts exactly, the reason I asked is that slip is only noticeable in 6th on an incline , revving to say 3000 revs and engaging clutch . Other gears seem fine but from experience that is the way I test . Mileage is low at 62,000 miles and it is not driven hard at all. I have had other cars cover 100,000 o original clutch but apparently these "dual mass" flywheel based clutches do not do the miles and cost the earth to change :-(
There should be no difference in labor to R&R trans for clutch replacement! Just because the pressure plate is 'dual-mass', like the Accord V6, it amounts to about 5 minutes difference in the 'process' for pressure plate INSTALLATION. If it's not done properly, you WILL have troubles fairly soon after, if not right away.
