What is your question?
Just had battery changed and radio does not work. It turns on but does not go to any stations or play ads. It does not do anything but show an error code of 5.
What makes this problem better or worse?
N/A
How long has your 2003 Honda CR-V had this problem?

You'll have to have the unlock code - IF you do not have the code - it is available from Honda dealer.
open the glove box,the radio code should be on a sticker or label in the glove box door,or inside the glove box on the right or the left side. the older honda vehicles had a card with the radio code written on it inside the owners manual and or written in the manual or just stuck inside the glove box,but people would lose them,so now it's on a sticker/label.radio should say ENTER CODE,not error. you may have to disconnect the battery again. if you enter the code wrong 10 times, you will have to wait 1 hour to try again.
Thank you I will look for the code in the glove box tomorrow. Thanks again
It is ‘theoretically’ a thief deterrent - mostly just a good way for the dealers to make a buck! (WHO would want to steal car radio in the first place)
Thank you. My Mom had her battery changed and was upset to find her radio did not work afterwards. So I will relay the message thanks
Actually, whom ever replaced the battery should have thought of the stereo lockout IF it was done by someone skilled that is. Not a big deal though .. Just an inconvenience.
