audio display panel glass gets very hot

For the first time in my new 2020 Honda Civic, I played a flash drive. The audio display panel glass became very hot to the touch. The songs played fine, but I was concerned about the heat and a plastic smell, The flash drive itself was not hot.

What makes this problem better or worse?
