I have a aftermarket exhaust system can I get a performance cat to pass DEQ???
What is your question?
So I am building a Turbo charged street car that doubles as a daily and currently I have a Aftermarket DNA motoring performance Exhaust system no cat and the CEL is on and the car needs to go through DEQ I don’t want to put a OEM cat back on my car because it chocks the engine and restricts horsepower am I able to get a aftermarket performance cat and still be able to pass DEQ?
How long has your 1998 Honda Civic had this problem?
RepairPal Certified shops can diagnose and repair your 1998 Honda Civic. They provide transparent pricing with a minimum 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on repairs and services.
Yeah, seriously - that’s who supplied the exhaust system so they should have / know what you need for that exhaust system .. Furthermore without more modification specs we can’t recommend a compatible catalytic converter.
There’s always MagnsFlow - Flowmaster etc.. but the modifications specifications are critical information - plus the question of the cel.. Actually by the letter of the law the exhaust system from engine to the cat can’t be legally modified.
Good luck!
