Is it a fuel filter what should I check first

That more indicative of an alternator problem that not maintaining battery charge - however this is usually accompanied by a light turning on in the dash. Fuel delivery isn’t going to cause this no crank condition - following correct procedures - try jump starting. Failing alternator can indeed present engine operation / performance problems as the battery reaches discharge state. Good luck!
You’re going to need some *hands-on* assistance with this from qualified personnel. All we can do is offer a best ‘online’ guess.
Worst case scenario is the engine has locked up.. I certainly hope not!
