What can cause a 1994 Honda civic to start slow from a stop sign or stoplight?
What is your question?
My car acts as if it is starting in second gear instead of first and its always revving at just a little over 2,000 rpms if anyone can tell me I'd really appreciate it.

If you are pulling out from a stop and it's revving at 2,000 RPM or higher to move - sounds like an internal transmission concern with slipping clutches causing poor engagement. Hands on testing is needed.
