CHECK/TEST ALL!!!! , But first I may save you some trouble....Answer these simple questions(reply on this post , don't just answer them to yourself!)........ WHEN you switch on the A/C , 1) do the fans under the hood come on right away? ....2) does the blower fan inside the car work at any speed(s)?....3) switching it on and off do you hear the compressor clutch engage -clicking?(maybe notice a brief change in engine speed)......reply with results........or else.......
1 the fans don't come on, 2 no the fan does not blow any air at all. 3 when I changed the settings from the ac I hear a clicking or something engaging in the ac compressor/motor since it's located behind the glove department.
a relay is what you are hearing behind the glove box , most likely. IF the condenser fans are not coming on , start with diagnosing that circuit.ONLY IF YOU ARE POSITIVE THAT THE SYSTEM IS CHARGED!!!! Use gauges to check! Also can test pressure switch for continuity with ohmmeter. If you have continuity on switch terminals , then that should be enough for a good input to PCM for that part of the equation.
