the window on my 2007 Honda accord driver side stopped working.the window itself began to slide down when i pulled it back up with my hands on each side of it something dropped inside the door panel sounded like a small piece either metal or plastic. I've wedged two pieces of paper where the window goes into the door panel to hold it up. any ideas why i am having this trouble.

The window lift assembly needs to be replaced. That is the motor and regulator together. Not a typical diy repair but if you are handy with a wrench, check out the video's on youtube. Only you know your limitations with mechanic work!
