What is your question?
My Honda all of a sudden started overheating so I fixed a oileak it had put new radiator cap flushed radiator and changed oil & filter put a new 02 sensor, fans work , heater blower works , drove good for about a week now overheats again and I hear a humming noise from under the hood. I need to know what's going on it passed smog no check engine light is on And maintenance light blinks then turns off
What makes this problem better or worse?
At night on freeway doesn’t overheat , stopped at a red light begins to overheat,
How long has your 2005 Honda Accord had this problem?
On off about 3 weeks

put the thermostat back in it and bleed the air out of the cooling system....
driving at night on the freeway there is enough air coming through the grill to cool everything, but when you stop at a red light, temperature starts overheating. suspect fans not coming on.if you manually turn the A/C on,both fans should come on at he same time.
fans and thermostat are great answers of where to check next. anything that would create low flow situations like worn waterpump blades, passage restrictions, or air pockets can cause similar symptoms. I also would be concerned about combustion gases in the cooling system. You can purchase a block check kit from napa and test it yourself. Or we would be glad at Street Tech Auto Care to do a preliminary 60$ set of tests to pin it down for you . Then you can make the repairs yourself if you want.
How much would repair be and what is a block check if you can please explain and my fans do turn on .
I wont know the repair until we isolate the failure. the testing stops at 60$ , so thats all you would have to pay to find out. The block check is simply looking to see if there is major engine damage from the overheating. You would want to know this prior to spending any real money on repairs or parts.
Good luck!
