03 Honda Accord Ex 3.0L V6. Recently noticed an oil leak. Already ordered the valve cover gasket set, but I noticed a hole. Right next to where the dipstick is, and before you get to the spark plugs (left to right) there's a square bit. At the end of it there is 1 bolt and to the right of the bolt is a hole. It looks like another bolt or something is missing, but I'm unsure.
How long has your 2003 Honda Accord had this problem?

Likely where the plastic engine cover dowel is supposed to plug into... IF you still have this plastic engine cover - see if a dowel matches up to that hole as well as the other dowels to their respective points.. This cover just pushes into place - - many times the covers have been removed and discarded - leaving a suspicious looking whole that makes one wonder what is supposed to be there. Otherwise seek *hands-on* inspection / evaluation y qualifying personnel. Good luck!
