What is your question?
I purchased the car in 2015 & it had 163,000 miles on it. I've been told that it should be replaced every 100,000 miles. How much should it cost for a mechanic to check the belt & how much time is involved. Ho w much does it cost to replace the belt. I had a mechanic to tell me that the original belt is on the car. Can this be possible?

Recommended replacement 105,000 miles, normal driving conditions. Recommended replacement 60,000 miles, severe driving conditions. Water pump driven by timing belt. It is recommended that you consider changing the water pump when replacing the belt. Interference engine.sure,it probably is the original belt, got to be mostly all highway miles. heck i know someone with 240,000 miles with the original belt on it.around $450.00 for a 4 cylinder here, including Kit includes water pump, timing belt, hydraulic timing belt actuator, camshaft belt tensioner, camshaft belt Idler. Water pump driven by timing belt.
