Putting up the front passenger's side window I heard a cracking/breaking sound and instinctively put the window down some. It went up a bit and finally after trying the button gave out. I managed to get it up 3/4 of the way. Now it's dead. What's wrong?

The 4 dr sedan uses a cable drive window regulator... Usual suspect is the cable becomes detached and the result is that cracking/breaking noise plus an inop window... Best to replace the window motor AND regulator together, that's your BEST bet, or have this done...it's not very diy friendly!... Auto glass shop will give you the best price, most likely!.. They do em all the time...
