On dash brake light come on and off

What is your question?

I have a 1998 honda accord lx. My brake light on the dash keeps coming on and off. I've replaced a brake line and the master cylinder. I have no leaks but if I can take the cap off and put it back on and the light goes out. I have checked everything that I can think of. The brakes work, I have no problems stopping. I have replaced the cap two times, thinking that was the problem but I dont think thats it. What could be wrong?
