Left lights on by accident, battery died. Tried jumping car, gets power but no cranking. *94 Honda Accord

Some batteries will not recover after being severely discharged - especially in COLD temperatures. The electrolyte turns to water when battery is completely discharged - ice forms inside battery - destroying the platelets inside. Only *hands-on* testing will reveal the actual culprit here.
were the jumper cables hooked up backwards,if not >>do you have signal/voltage on the small wire going to the starter solenoid while helper turns the key to the cranking position? lots of problems with the ignition switches on the Honda's. Unless a professional grade / very heavy duty jumper cables are in use - jump starting may not be successful.
