Battery died, charged battery, car won't start, doesn't crank

Some batteries will not recover after being severely discharged - especially in COLD temperatures. The electrolyte turns to water when battery is completely discharged - ice forms inside battery - destroying the platelets inside. Only *hands-on* testing will reveal the actual culprit here.

were the jumper cables hooked up backwards,if not >>do you have signal/voltage on the small wire going to the starter solenoid while helper turns the key to the cranking position? lots of problems with the ignition switches on the Honda's.
