Timing belt been replaced as required?
I tried what you said and yes the distributor shaft is rotating. The timing belt along with water pump was replaced last year. Would you happen to know what code 17 is or can you tell me where I can find codes for that particular vehicle ? Thanks for your time
To pull the trouble codes from your 1990 through 1993 Honda Accord you'll need to access the two wire ECU connector located near the passenger side kick panel. You will find a blue connector with one red wire and one green. You will need to insert a paperclip of metal wire between the two prongs. Insert the wire connector while your Honda's ignition is off. After inserting the wire connector/paper clip, turn the ignition on to "ACC ON". The dashboard lights should light up and the check engine light begin flashing. Pay attention to the lights and begin counting the flashes on and off. You will notice long flashes and short flashes. A long flash indicates the first number of the trouble code. The short flashes indicate the second number of the trouble code Below is a list of all the trouble codes which relate to your 1990 through 1993 Honda Accord. 1 O2A - Oxygen Sensor #1 2 O2B - Oxygen Sensor #2 3 MAP - Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor 4 CKP - Crankshaft Position Sensor 5 MAP - Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor 6 ECT - Engine Coolant Tempretrure Sensor 7 TPS - Throttle Position Sensor 8 TDC - Top Dead Center Sensor 9 CYP - Cylinder Sensor 10 IAT - Intake Air Temperature Sensor 12 EGR - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Sensor 13 BARO - Atmospheric Pressure Sensor 14 IAC (EACV) - Idle Air Control Valve 15 Ignition Output Signal Trouble 16 Fuel Injector Trouble 17 VSS - Vehicle Speed Sensor 19 Automatic Transmission Lockup Control Valve 20 Electrical Load Fault 21 VTEC Solenoid Valve 22 VTEC Pressure Valve 23 Knock Sensor Trouble 30 Automatic Transmission A Signal Fault 31 Automatic Transmission B Signal Fault 41 Oxygen Sensor Heater 43 Fuel Supply System Fault 45 Fuel System Too Rich / Too Lean 48 LAF - Lean Air Fuel Sensor 54 CKF - Crank Fluctuation Sensor 58 TDC Sensor #2 61 Primary Oxygen Sensor 63 Secondary Oxygen Sensor 65 Secondary Oxygen Sensor Heater 71 Random Misfire Cylinder 1 72 Random Misfire Cylinder 2 73 Random Misfire Cylinder 3 74 Random Misfire Cylinder 4 80 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Insufficient Flow Detected 86 ECT Sensor (Engine Coolant Temperature) Circuit Range Fault 90 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected in the Fuel Tank 91 Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Low Input 92 Evaporative Emission Control System Insufficient Purge Flow
