is this the same car that the D4 was blinking on today?if so is it still blinking or coming on when you turn the switch on?
Yes the same car it's gone but my car has been surging for a while I tried everything but I can't get a hand on it
on the fast idle control, the one with the 2 screws in the top of it.loosen 1 screw, remove the other one.move top over and there are 2 slots in there for adjustment.take a flat screwdriver and turn it all the way down, very little pressure, just snug, don't force it.when you feel it get tight, its bottomed out.now loosen 1/4 turn.put it back together.see what happens.this helps on the idle of the car,but not sure it will fix surging problem.is your check engine light on,or the D4 light still on?also sometimes cleaning the iac valve works, and sometimes not.i'm sure the little screen was blocked with carbon and the white worm gear was black.if you have to replace it,thats $240.00 presidents!! let me know if that changes anything.
Ok so just turn the fast idle valve all the way down and then how many time I have to turn up back up or just leave it down cuz I changed the fast valve like 6 months ago
if you just put a new one on it,6 months ago, don't mess with it.
Ok but why will it be surging
i don't know.you said yesterday that the D4 light was on.that is a tcu problem.transmission control unit, mounted in passenger side floorboard.they are bad about, burning a couple resistors inside on circuit board.also the 90-93 accords where bad about the distributor going out.i have a 93 accord, but never had surging problem.when i bought it the distributor was new.i have changed the valve cover gasket, and spark plug tube grommets.the tube wells were full of oil,you may want to check that.i put,new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pcv valve, new iac valve.check pcv valve, and hose going to air intake for clogged.make sure no oil in distributor cap!!
Ok we'll probably it's the idle valve I never change that I cleaned it but never changed u think by buying a new one will stop cuz the rpm goes from one to two but I moved the screw on the throttle and it calmed down its not surging a lot but just a little
i don't know, maybe or maybe not.that valve is over $200.00.there is a screw on the top of the throttle body, that is plugged, but it is rare to have to adjust it,but you can adjust it,by removing the plug.there is a video on this somewhere, youtube maybe!good luck!
