Sounds like a good thing, but the question I have is why did the engine have to be replaced. You show a 2011 on your post, so I assume you have a newer one already. If so you are already familiar with them. Make sure it is a good prices, and don't let them get to you just because they state new engine, get the paper work and research.
I have never owned a hybrid or Yukon and it's for sure a new motor .One lifter went bad he only replaced that one not all of them like the dealer suggested 3 months latter the oil pump went out we think from to long of intervals and another bad lifter with metal shavings from one thing or another but there u have it a cooked motor. I'll recheck my info to see what it says about me owning one to correct that and this one is a 08.what is a fair price ???.
Just bought one with 90k miles on it. It's a nice ride, lots of power, but the throttle feels a little funny. It's almost like it's governed. It's very strong, but it's like something is holding it back. Sometimes it doesn't come out of acceleration when you take your foot off the petal. It takes a moment longer. I also noticed the door locks activating occasionally while driving or turning. I didn't think much about this, only the petal and lack of full throttle issue, then on my second trip home from work. The oil notification center told me to shut the engine down, no oil, then lost oil pressure. Checked after setting for a while, nothing on the stick. Added 2.5 quarts and drove another 20 miles, then it happened again. I had to make it home if possible. I added another quart and made it home. The dealership came and got it, and they have no idea what is wrong with it. I have found a couple similar post about these same type of problems. I liked the ride, but I don't think I would buy it again. I hoped to get at least 100k miles out of the one I have, but it's not off to a good start. I have owned several GM/Chevy vehicles and find it hard to turn on them, but this is not looking good. Good luck!
I own a 2009 GMC Hybrid and had the same oil pressure lights/turn off engine. It too needed 2.5 quarts of oil when it wasnt due for a change. The dealer said its normal. that was at 103k miles. Well, last month at around 118k miles, all 8 spark plugs and wiring needed to be replaced because of a mis-fire.My car is back in the shop and I was informed yesterday that I need a new engine because the seals leaked/wore which cause oil to get inside the engine and now I need a new engine! I have only owned it 4 years, still making payments and now need an engine. I am completely distraught. :(
